Dr Maryna Möhr
Maryna has post-graduate qualifications in business administration and environmental management. Maryna was Head of Department: Environmental Sciences at the Tshwane University of Technology for ten years, after which she was an environmental advisor at the Chamber of Mines for several years. She is now an Executive Director of ESS and Director of Dikgaka Recycling. She served on the United Nations Expert Working Group for Environmental Management Accounting, which was instrumental in drafting the International Guidance Document on Environmental Management Accounting that was published by the International Federation of Accountants in 2005. She also represents South Africa on the International Standards Organisation workgroup for the development of a standard on Material Flow Cost Accounting under the ISO 14 000 series, on behalf of the South African Bureau of Standards. Maryna holds an MBA and obtained her D Tech degree on the topic An Environmental Management Accounting model for the SA Mining industry.
Mr Seakle Godschalk
Seakle has post-graduate qualifications in accounting and environmental science and also obtained certificates in public management, defence management, strategic management, logistics management and public finance management. Seakle was responsible for establishing and managing the environmental services office of the Department of Defence for more than 27 years. He is now an Executive Director of ESS and Director of Dikgaka Recycling. He was co-chair of the SA-USA Environmental Security Working Group for ten years. He also represents South Africa on the International Standards Organisation workgroup for the development of a standard on Material Flow Cost Accounting under the ISO 14 000 series, on behalf of the South African Bureau of Standards. He holds master’s degrees in science as well as accounting. His research topic for the latter was The relationship between environmental reporting and financial reporting in South African mining companies.
